March Madness Hit 3rd Grade on Friday! 🌟🏀 For Math, our students participated in a fraction event that was named after the different brackets of March Madness! For WIN, we did a STEM activity where students engineered basketball hoops using straws, cardboard, pipe cleaners, mesh, and tape! Then for Literacy, they were able to read articles on Lebron James and Steph Curry. Each student then answered questions about the two articles and wrote about which one they liked better. Finally, the entire grade level went to recess early and the classes got to play against each other on the courts! It was a great day for us all! Thank you to our wonderful 3rd grade teachers who made this happen! 🏀🧡

Students in fourth grade got to present their final digital research classroom on their study of Geology in 4th grade's 1st annual Geology Museum! 🪨💡 Each student conducted research, composed a multi-paragraph essay, and then brought their knowledge to life using a digital classroom. Each classroom allowed students to practice digital literacy skills such as hyperlinking, adding audio, and inserting images into Google Slides. Parents, younger learners, and New Vision staff were invited to tour the museum to learn about the fascinating topics of Geology. Some students designed plays, had interactive elements for their younger learners, or visual displays to support their research. It was a memorable and exciting museum experience! 🌋🔬
