Calling all parents of our 2024 - 2025 Kindergarten Class! 🌟🧡 You're invited to our Kindergarten Parent Information Night happening on Wednesday, April 24th, at 5:00 PM in the New Vision Charter School commons! During this event, our Kindergarten teachers will provide valuable insights into the curriculum, expectations, and helpful tips for incoming Kindergarteners. You will also have the opportunity to pick up a Kindergarten readiness packet designed to support summer preparation. We look forward to seeing you there! If you're unable to attend, don't worry! We'll send out a presentation filled with important information after the event takes place. Additionally, there will be Kindergarten readiness packets available for pickup in the K-4 front office after April 24th. This packet will include many skills that will be built upon in Kindergarten!✏️

Nighthawk Sports in Action: Orange team Soccer played tough in the rain at Liberty but suffered their first loss of the season.

✨🌟 Weekly Staff Spotlight 🌟✨ This week, we celebrate the amazing Savannah Bauknecht, one of our kindergarten teachers! 🍎🎉 Savannah has been enriching our kindergarten classrooms for the past 5 years, and she is a cherished member of Nighthawk Nation. Her energy and passion for teaching are invaluable when it comes to guiding our young learners each and every day. ✨ Let's come together to applaud Savannah for all she does to inspire our students to reach their full potential! 💜🧡

Last Friday, our 5th graders lit up the school with their annual Glow Day! 🌟🪄 In preparation for CMAS testing, each classroom transformed into a neon and glow-in-the-dark wonderland as our students practiced their reading, math, writing, and science skills. Thank you to our fabulous 5th Grade teachers, parents, and volunteers who put so much work into this day! 💜

Yesterday, we had the privilege of witnessing the Solar Eclipse here at New Vision Charter School! 🌘🌞 All students and staff were provided with ISO certified eclipse glasses to safely observe this awe-inspiring event. The peak of the eclipse occurred at 12:41 PM, and it was truly a moment to remember! We're so grateful to have had the opportunity to experience this natural wonder together as a school community. Here's to many more moments of curiosity and wonder in the days ahead! 🌟

Congratulations to Quantum, our Quarter 3 House Points winner! 🏆🌟 In recognition of Quantum's achievement, tomorrow (Friday, March 29th), we are encouraging the entire school to wear yellow! 💛 Students wearing yellow will earn points towards their own houses, while simultaneously helping to foster a sense of unity across our school community! ☀️

This past weekend, ten of our exceptional students traveled to Atlanta, Georgia, to compete in the Amazing Shake National competition. From mastering the art of a firm handshake, to acing their interview skills - these students demonstrated confidence, professionalism, and grace under pressure. Over Spring Break, a group of our Middle Schoolers had the amazing opportunity to embark on an educational journey to Washington, D.C.! 📜🇺🇸 Our students explored the rich history and culture of our Nation's Capital City, visiting places such as the National Archives, Washington Monument, US Marine Corps War Memorial, Ford's Theater, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, and the Spy Museum! 🏛️🌟 A massive thank you to all staff, chaperones, and parents that made this trip possible for our students!
